Recording sounds good and give me a good feeling about using the unit on gigs. I have gotten used to having the sliders on the module so that when the snare is not enough I get a nod from the sound guy and I can bring it up. This may be one of the few reasons why am I leaning toward a TD12. I guess it's a good thing that I have to save some more money regardless of which module I go with.

Thanks for posting the recordings!

George, thanks for the reply. Don't forget that you have the 'virtual' sliders on the TD9 module...you can at any point turn them up or down. But the sound guy should give you that nod during the sound check.

But at the end of the day it's about personal preference and return on investment. If your gigging justifies the cost then the sky is the limit! The pisser is when a huge investment gathers dust! We've all been there I'm sure. My TD9KX has paid for it's self probably 10 times over...at the end of the day it does the job and I cannot see what difference a TD12 or 20 would do apart from the extra hassle of connecting each trigger to the module!

Cheers

I'm gigging my TD-9 tonight - Rubys Performance Cafe - Sydney - if anyone's around Bondi and is interested...

I'll probably just send a mono out and the sound guy (if there is one) will let me know if cymbals need to come up or down. Last time they needed to be turned down. I'll be using about 3 different vex kits - this can be a problem if you don't remember to tell the sound guy and he's tweaked everything for the kit on the sound check song...

I'll update afterwards.
