    barebones computer for a module?

I was wondering if something like this would work for a "module".

I have megadrum and plan on getting superior drummer 2. I like the idea of something small and dedicated to just the drums. I'm not that much into technical stuff like this so any advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks

If I'm not mistaken Toontrack recommends a dual core 2.0 processor minimum for optimal functionality of S2.0. I don't think the Atom processor will be sufficient....even for a dedicated pc. But I've been wrong before.

Besides, you'll still need to buy RAM (4G at least) and hard drive(SSD is the best bet)....operating system.....etc.

You'll get lots of opinions on this subject though.

Just a thought...I don't use my MD at the moment but it has the same form factor as what you posted. So...If I were looking for something with the same form factor...I would look at a Mac Mini. Plug and play...especially if you don't know much about the technical side since what you posted still needs to be built.

Yeah I dont think its gonna cut it. I was using a mini itx i7 2600k with 8 GB of RAM 2 SSD's (60GB for OS and 120 for samples) with an RME AIO. You would want something more in that configuration (granted you could do with less than that)

I would go a Mac Mini with a RME babyface, but again the cost is far above what you're looking at.

The software drum sample option is not a cheap one!
