Here is the Yamaha kit I built post Roland TD20. I need to add a 3rd crash on the right side to match my acoustic kit but I have been too lazy to order it. I love being able to use this kit for practice. I am able to watch DVD videos, YouTube, or use sheet music in one compact setting. I couldnt ask for a better setup. I output midi to my PC and use either Superior or BFD2 for sounds. I am 100% satisfied with my ekit. The silicon pads are a dream to play, and I dont have anymore of the dreaded hot spots. Ergonomically, it is pretty close to my acoustic kit so transitioning between the two is great. Dont hate on me too much for migrating, I did keep a Roland KD9 in the kit

Shoot....lotsa love for this kit.
I've heard nothing but good things about the new pads.
They look great too. I always said that if 2Box had gone with a similar look...they would have gotten a better initial response.
I'd like to play these and though the only local music shop we have around here only sells Yamaha kits...they don't have these.

Fly down for the weekend and hang out. You can play til your hearts content brother. I dont know why most music stores dont carry the upper end Yamaha kits. I think they would sell a lot if they gave them the chance. I have owned both and love, love these Yammies.

This is a beauty, congrats!
Nice workaround with the kick-pad. Someone posted that Yammies' own KP-125 had a nasty beater-noise, due to a resonating shell. Maybe it was you? Can't remember who it was...
BTW: What are your vintage Ludwigs doing?

Nice kit, 5 toms is the way to go
I've played on this for more than a year and I can only say good things on TCS pads. Well, maybe just about the rim shot, you don't have to hit both head and rim to perform one and I prefer when you have to hit both.
Rim shot / Crosstick separation is the best around.
RHH135 Hi hat works really well too.

The Ludwigs have turned out great. I added lower heads to the 6,8,10, and 12 toms since they were originally concert toms. They had the bearing edges already so I have a drum maker in town doing the work. I have the 10 and 12 on the kit now but the 6 and 8 havent been finished yet. I should have those late this week or early next week. I am also waiting on a 19" Paiste signature crash and 22" Pasite Blue Bell ride which will be in next week too.
