VEX kits for TD-9 version 2

I'm probably not alone in that I've been waiting for the TD-9 V2 VEX packs to make a purchase. If you were to make it free or discounted upgrades I'd go ahead and buy today.

I made my first plunge into Vex yesterday. Got the Vex Acustix. I was leaning towards the Master 50s but opted for the Acustix as advertised as "gig ready".
As I'm using a Yammy PCY 130 SC as my ride on my TD9SV2 I only had to adjust the ride B/E to be bell. I don't have much use for ride Edge anyways. But I like to have the Bell to go to for variety in Shuffle patterns etc.
As stated on previous posts. Since upgrading to version 2 the Crash2 seems soft so I had to adjust that as well as HH closed volume.
One of these days I'll get this "kits only" setup right, I've setup a kit and saved it but any time I add kits only from my USB it gets over-written. I'd like to be able to keep it as well. Maybe the only solution is Vdrumlib.
Any suggestions?

version 1 vex packs will function completely with version 2 td9...they just won't use those extra snare and kick sounds, which might not even be appopriate for the kit anyway...

I'm waiting on version 2 vex packs for my TD9 too... I'm just worried if I buy the masters 50, metal mania and toolbox now that when the new ones come out I'll regret being impatient. Alan, would you guys consider offering discounts or something for those of us who buy v1 vex kits with the v2 ones looming? Either way I love the work you guys do and will support the packs. If I would have bought my TD9 a year ago I would already have all he packs and this wouldn't be an issue.

I think we could do that. I'll talk with Chris, but I think he'll agree it would be a nice gesture on our part for the delay. I'll have him chime in.

I asked that too but Alan made a great point that these are not going to be resampled v1 sets they are going to be all new sets so with that comes just as much work as it took to make the v1 vex kits so no you wont get a discount. The v1 sounds are going to sound different than v2 can't say if they will be better or not, only your ears will be able to answer that one but if it where me I'd just buy the master 50 v1 to tide you over until Chris finds some free time to get the v2 sets done.

Edit.....nevermind, I see Alan just replied and feels that us vdrum members may deserve a break for the wait now(asked a while ago)....I myself would be happy to pay for all the hard work that goes into these vex packs though.

Thats what I was told in a post about 6 months or so ago but it was lost in the hack, can't remember if it was Chris or Alan who replied though.

Let me clarify what I meant. (and Chris will have to agree) For those who've been waiting, but want to purchase packs now, I think we could offer a discount for clients who purchase packs between now and the release of the next pack. So, I meant if you purchased 1 or more packs, we'd give a discount on the new pack (to those customer) when it comes out. Again, I want Chris to chime in on how close he is and if he agrees.

Talked with Chris. We're going to give a 50% discount on the upcoming v2 release to anyone who purchases a TD-9 pack between today and the new release.

Are there any combo-pack discounts for the TD-9 packs? I'd like something like a "buy 'em all" for $100 or something like that. :-)
