    Question mounting an RMP-5

I just got a great deal on a used RMP-5 but I have nothing to mount it on...

Besides forking out for a PDS-2, anyone have a different approach to mounting this unit?

    Thanks!

I think the thread size is the same thread size used on standard cymbal stands. Or just get a snare stand that can close down far enough to hold an 8".

    Try the Tama MCA63EN

A normal cymbal holder will work. I had to cut the naked tip off (the part without the threading) to get it to hold the rmp-5 well (got it done with a local welder)

I used the Tama MCA63EN. this gives perfect height adjustments. The MCA63EN is in turn made of MC66 universal clamp and the MCB30EN boom arm. So if you already have the boom arm, you can just buy the universal clamp.

I didn't mount it straight away on a cymbal stand, because it was too tall (even when fully retracted) to hold a snare
