Thanks guys. I love the appearance, very 'classic' look. The Blue Pearl was my first choice, but in the end I am very happy with this combination. Dave suggested stripes, and at first I was hesitant, but it grew on me. Lots of emails, research and teeth gnashing before I chose this combo. Then wouldn't you know, the Champagne was discontinued, lol! The new 'Bermuda Sand' sparkle was the replacement color, and I really like the end result.
Now, is it a dumb blonde (all looks, no function! - no offense to anyone :-) ) or is it a strikingly beautiful AND smart, blonde bombshell??? Ah yes! I am really taken with the looks, but playing them.... sweeeeeet!!!! To me, a lot better feel than my ex-Roland and Hart kits. I loved playing both of them, but they never felt quite like 'real drums'. These look, and feel, like acoustics. This kit is the BOMB!
Kudo's to Dave!! His customer service is exemplary. I can't begin to tell you about all the emails he & I sent. He was excellent in his communication. Yes, I waited for over 3 months, but a lot of that was the need to pick a new wrap, changed the hardware several times, and he is busier than a one armed paper hangar, lol! Truth be told I was hoping to get them for the end of March when I first ordered, and Dave got it pretty close. Still, the end result justifies the waiting time by a long shot. I would do it again in a minute. Never mind that the cost is less than the other brand names. This is not about the cost, its style, looks, function, comfort, and most of all.... it's my dream kit!
When I get some time I am going to repost the pictures as inserts rather than attachments. Also, I will do some videos next time I play the kit with my band (currently I play the Zendrum mostly, and a few songs on Cajon, Congas, etc.). The issue now is carrying all this gear to a gig! I am going to need a 'Roadie', and turn my MINI Cooper into a MAXI Cooper!

So, I try again ! :
I am going to clean up the wires today and form some sort of snake, taped at appropriate spots, to make it easier to set up and tear down for gigs. More pictures to come when I get it all set.
