you might want to post some pics on this site, not all 30 of them, just a few...or put them in an album on your home page here, with a link to them...
IMO i can't see people creating an account just to see your photos

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm a little put off that you expect me to go to another site, sign-up, view photos of your diy drums and give you an opinion of them because you couldn't be bothered to post them here. I'm not hatin because you took that route, but maybe the others that have opened your post here have the same viewpoint. WW

    here are some specs

1-First off I've got the drum rack done according to jman 31's plans with the exception its made of all PVC, in place of fence post. Also some of the measurements have been changed to accommodate all of my drums and to fit in my drum hardware bag.

2-Secondly I'm using a DM5 as my module and have developed an easier way to mount it WITHOUT zip ties, and in a way that also allows the module to easily be removed.

-This is done according to jman 31's plans, by using two PVC T's that have been bellowed out with a dremal and had a slit cut through the top of them, and with two hose clamps. The hose clamp is undone and then put on each side of the module through the holes that screws would normally go in. The T's are then slid on two separate pieces of pipe and then the two hose clamps attached to the module are slipped over the T's and tightened. This also allows the module to be mounted vertically or horizontally.

3-Third I've partially finished my 2 single zone cymbals and 1 dual zone ride cymbal. They are made from old records that I have heated up over the stove and then formed on an actual cymbal. All thats left to do on them is add some foam and rubber dampening layers.

4-I've also partially finished my 2 hi-hat cymbals. That now also only lack a dampening material. I've also soldered a magnetic activated reed switch to some cord also putting a stereo plug on the other end. For easy application and removal I have also applied heat shrink tubing over the reed switch for protection and added some Velcro to one side so that it can easily be attached and removed from the base of the hi-hat pedal.

5-I also have converted the acoustic drum heads from four 10 in and one 12 in tunable hand drums, to two ply mesh heads. All that is left to add are cross members which I will do on Monday.

6-And last but not least I have converted an 8 in practice pad into a 4 ply mesh head bass drum, but have yet to attach a piezo inside it yet.

Much thanks to jman 31 and his drum rack tutorial

33"? if you mean the back tubes there 36" and if you mean the back horizontal tubes there 30" I shortened the back tubes so they would fit in the drum bag for transport

hey explicit, where'd you get the idea for using records to make cymbals? interesting...i suppose your kit will weigh bugger all with the rack made of PVC pipes
like jonutarr said, it's rough as guts but it's very inventive! good stuff

he means the records - 12" records are known as 33s because they spun at 33 1/3 revs per minute...

thanks for clearing that 33 thing up for me I knew that from my dad tellin me but had just forgot. I came up with the idea of using records myself because I knew I could form a bell easily I just used on of my cymbals to form it on using the stove rotating it to heat it up then forming and heating up section to eliminate wrinkles.

Yeah and they work great!!! They have great response. All I have left to do is put rubber and foam layers on the other three, but the hi-hat works great and the noise is minimized. Also you may notice the portion on the dual zone ride where you can see threw, this is because when I heated it up I used to bowls also instead of just a cymbal to form it, to create a bigger bell, and after a few times of reheating to fix wrinkles it stretched a little. I left it though because I think it may help reduce cross talk between the two zones. Also later because of the gap it cracked so I just fixed it with hot glue until I make a new one.

    thanks for your feedback
