I assume you mean toontrack's superior 2.0, rather than their ezdrummer?

Superior is fairly new, which is why hampis might think it is less famous...however, it is a much bigger and more sophisticated programme...ezdrummer (ez = easy) is meant to be a small, easy introductory programme....

Depends on what you want. BFD is extremely tweakable, in fact, it starts out very dry so you have to tweak it.

If you want virtually out of the box plug and play, EZD definitely does that. I have it with one add-on kit. Love it.

Mix and Match Heaven: TD-12 or EZDrummer, Diamond Drum 12" snare, Hart Acupad toms, Roland CY-5 mounted on a Hart Ecymbal II Pro Pedal, Hart Ride, Hart Acupad 8" bass, 2 Roland CY-14 crashes, two Concept 1 cymbals, a Yamaha PCY-10, all on a red Roland V-Sessions rack. Pads on hiatus: PD-7, Kit Toy Splash, Hart single-zone HH, Alesis DMPad ride and an entire Concept 1 kit.

    Bfd

Get bfd,but you need an external hard drive. It is so much more expandable, and the support is incredible. Toontrack has terrible support.

ok i decided i will get BFD for Christmas present.Could someone tell me in a very simple way (i think someone told me the other day but didn;t get it)
i connect the module via midi to the pc, check-edit mess around with the sounds of BFD,how does this work ?

Do i pick an instrument (the ride symbal for example) and a transfer sounds from BFD and send them back in the module. This is what i haven't understood yet

is it easy to use ?

you cant send anything BACK to the module. Well you can, but not for this purpose...

Read the midi sections of the manual, esp using midi with an external sound module. you hit the pad, the pad sends a midi signal up the midi cable to the computer, where you have BFD running. BFD then plays the sound from the computer that has been assigned that midi number...remember, you have to listen to the computer's sound card via speakers or headphones, NOT from the module's outputs...

Now THAT sounds rather feline to me =^.^=

Hampis, FWIW, I have Superior 2 and LOVE it. I have not tried BFD though but don't feel the need. I have the Twisted Kit expansion for SD2 and the kit I have created to go with my physical kit is quite elaborate and performs beautifully and sounds awesome.

    1. The only reverb on BFD is Tincan Reverb. If your into that freaky ****, then all is well. If not you have a problem.

    2. The BFD2 sounds are bliss on keyboard/triggerfinger, very powerful, but sucks on V-drums. Superior is superior on edrums in general.
